Dr. Hesheng Wang, Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, leads the Intelligent Robotics and Machine Vision Laboratory (IRMV Lab), focusing on research areas including visual servoing, autonomous driving, soft robots, UAVs, medical robotics, multi-agent control, and reinforcement learning.
In the field of soft robotics, IRMV Lab is dedicated to developing soft manipulators suitable for minimally invasive surgery and soft grippers capable of handling fragile objects. Additionally, the lab enhances the exploratory capabilities of soft mobile robots in complex environments through multi-modal motion design. NOKOV motion capture system provides real-time, high-precision pose data for nodes on the soft robotic arm, facilitating kinematic and dynamic modeling, enabling effective control of the soft robotic arms.
