Prof. Ximin Lyu’s team at Sun Yat-sen University demonstrated a UAV performing in-flight grasping of objects in arbitrary poses and placing them at designated locations. The experiments were conducted in a 20 × 10 × 4.5 m space, with real-time pose data of both the UAV and the objects provided by the NOKOV Motion Capture System.
