From May 14th to 15th, NOKOV Motion Capture hosted the STAR TALK panel discussion events at ICRA Yokohama, and broadcast live. Robotics young scholars from all over the world gathered at NOKOV Booth to discuss the impact of Foundation Models on robot autonomy, human-robot integration etc.
Panel Discussion of Theme A centered on the topic of Exploring New Frontiers in Robot Autonomy Empowered by Foundation Models, which was moderated by Prof. Yixing Gao from Jilin University.
Prof. Liang He from University of Oxford, Prof. Diego Paez from ETH Zürich, Prof. Fei Gao from Zhejiang University, and Prof. Boyu Zhou from Sun Yat-sen University expounded their views on the applications of Foundation Models in medical care, aerial robots etc.; and also explored the transition from research to industrialization and from researcher to entrepreneur.

While theme B centered on the topic of Emerging Trends of Human-Machine Integration in the Context of Foundation Models.
Prof. Wei-Wei Wan from Osaka University, Prof. Roberto Martin-Martin from University of Texas Austin, Prof. Gionata Salvietti from University of Siena, Prof. Gaofeng Li from Zhejiang University, Prof. Luis Figueredo from University of Nottingham, and Prof. Martina Maselli from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna presented their current research on bio-research robots, household robots, dressing robots, rescue robots, collaborative robots, agriculture robots, and discussed the possibility of applying Foundation Models in their work.
